Mrs. Augusta Aben, 79, former resident of Moline and Kewanee, died suddenly early today in St. Joseph’s home in Peoria, where she had lived the last two years. Her death was caused by a heart attack, according to information received by her daughter, Miss Leona Aben, 1405 ½ Twenty-third avenue, Moline.

Augusta DeVos was born in Moerbeke Waes, Belgium, June 2, 1864, and was married to Frank J. Aben in Belgium. They came to America forty-three years ago, and lived in Chicago until 1913. They lived in Kewanee until Mr. Aben’s death in April 2, 1941. Mrs. Aben then resided with a son, Rene J. Aben, in Montebello, Cal., for a short time and later went to St. Joseph’s home in Peoria. She frequently visited her daughter in Moline. She was a member of the Altar society of Sacred Heart church, Moline.
Surviving in addition to her son and daughter are a granddaughter, Marian Aben.

The body was brought to Moline and taken to DeRoo funeral home. Funeral services tentatively are set for Thursday.
