Patricia Lorene Distel Obituary

Patricia L. Distel, 66, passed away in her home October 6, 2009.

She was born in Denver to Harold E. Sheda and Laura (Campbell) Sheda and was raised in Lakewood.

She married James D. Distel on May 18, 1963, residing in the Longmont area until they moved to Woodland Park in 1970.

Pat had compassion for others and was always there for her family and friends. She volunteered for numerous organizations, including Girl Scouts, Chamber of Commerce and the Senior Center. She also worked on a variety of jobs through the years including realtor and church secretary.

Pat is survived by her husband, Jim, son Don Distel, daughter Donna (Richard) Thomas, grandson Frank Distel, and sister, Jo Katsaros.

She is preceded in death by both parents and sister, Julie Hilterman.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 12 at Mountain Memorial Funeral Home, 51 County Rd. 5, Divide, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. Her funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 13 at Our Lady of the Woods Catholic Church, on the corner of Hwy. 24 and West Street in Woodland Park. A luncheon will be held at the church following a brief graveside service.
