Betty Jane Adams, 88, of Fleetwood, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 10, 2014.

Born in Berks County on April 16, 1926, she was the daughter of the late John and Beulah (Schloppich) Wegman. Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Lee F. Adams. She was employed by Fleetwood Sportswear for 15 years, retiring in 1982.

Surviving are her two children, five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Betty was a kind and loving person who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was involved in Cub Scouts and the Camp Fire Girls. She loved to sew. She and her husband, Lee, along with their large circle of friends, enjoyed playing cards, traveling, and camping. Betty was a long time member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Fleetwood.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Mae Stump Funeral Home, Inc., 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood, PA, officiated by Pastor Morris. Viewing is 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at the Berks Memorial Gardens.
