Early Life: Clyde was born on November 25, 1926, to Samuel T. and Rosalia Boyack Ostler; the eighth of eleven children. He attended Spanish Fork schools and received his high school diploma in 2006 alongside his two youngest grandsons.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: He joined the United States Navy in 1944 and was stationed in San Bruno, California. Clyde married his sweetheart, Lola Grace Johnson, in November of 1943 and they spent 60 wonderful years together. They had three sons: Gene (Peggy), Ron (Kathy) and Randy (Maria). He retired from US Steel Geneva Works after 34 years. He was a member of The Diamond Fork Riding Club and Spanish Fork Senior Citizens. Clyde enjoyed working in his yard, growing a large garden and sharing his harvest with family. He loved John Wayne, old country music, long car rides and breakfast on Sunday mornings. Clyde loved his family and was always very kind and generous. He was bigger than life and will be missed very much by those who knew and loved him. Clyde E. Ostler, of Spanish Fork, Utah, passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2014. He was 88.
