Age 84, daughter of Florence and Harry J. Brice. Dorothy attended Saint Anne's Catholic Grade School, Erie East High School, and went to Mercyhurst College for one year. Dorothy and her husband Ken were transferred to Louisville with the General Electric Company at Appliance Park. Her faith in God enabled her to bear personal trials including being a breast cancer survivor. As an original member of St. Albert the Great Parish she devoted her personal time to volunteering and service to others.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Kenneth F. Ahrens; her parents; and her brother, Richard J. Brice.

She is survived by her sons, David Kenneth Ahrens, and Dr. Douglas Ahrens (Benita Easley Ahrens), all of Louisville, Kenneth Brice Ahrens (Katherine Graves Ahrens) of Floyd Knobs, Ind.; her daughters Chris Ahrens Ronald Thompson of Crestwood and Karen Ahrens Fischer (Christian Fischer) of Newburgh, Ind.; and Laura Ann Ahrens of Louisville; 11 grandchildren; two loving grandsons-in-law; and two devoted nieces, Mary Lou Brice Cowan and Kathy Brice DiRaimo.
