Mr. Krediet was a native of Tallahassee, Fla., and lived in Modesto 34 years.
He was a weights and measures inspector for many years.
He was a square dance caller and enjoyed square dancing, fishing and woodworking.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Krediet of Modesto; children, Brian Krediet of Livermore and Emily Krediet of Ripon; mother, Elsie Kredit of Ripon; brothers, Bob Kredit and John Krediet, both of Modesto; and sisters, Judi Collins of Manteca and Cathy Witt of Michigan.
Visitation from 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel.
Burial with military honors at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Ripon Cemetery.
A memorial service will be at noon Friday at Church of the Cross, Modesto.
