MORSE – Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of Lyons Point, for Eumea D. Guidry, 87, who died Monday, April 17, 2006 at the Crowley Guest House.
Interment will be in Lyons Point Cemetery.
The Rev. Mitchell Guidry will conduct the service.
Mrs. Guidry was a native of Lyons Point and a resident of Morse. She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society. She loved her church and was very active in the church.
Survivors include two sons, NuJay Guidry and his wife, Patricia of Ebenezer; and Chester Lee Guidry and his wife, Juanita of Morse; one brother, David Doucet of Lyons Point; six grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clophia and Marie Istre Doucet; her husband, Euclide Guidry; three sisters,Lucia Trahan,Estelle Richard and Edna Doucet; and one grandson, Greg Guidry.
The family has requested that visitation begin Tuesday from 2:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. and continue Wednesday from 8 a.m. until time of service
A rosary will be prayed Tuesday 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Matthews and Son Funeral Home of Gueydan
