The Reverend Henry T. Lefebvre, 54, pastor of St. Joan of Arc Church in Cumberland since 1964, died Saturday, March 2, 1968, where he had been a patient for five weeks.


He was the third pastor of St. Joan of Arc to pass away from 1962 to 1968. The Rev. Alderic J. Chauvin died Feb. 9, 1962, and the Rev. Henry J. Crepeau on Feb. 22, 1964.


The Rev. Andre A. Lefebvre, Fr. Lefevre's only brother, is chaplain of the Sacred Heart Novitiate in Harrisville. His sister, Sister Marie de la Nativite of the Presentation of Mary Order is superior of Christ the King Convent in Warwick.


Fr. Lefebvre served as an assistant in two parishes in Woonsocket for nearly 25 years before he was appointed to his first pastorate in St. Vincent de Paul parish in Anthony, Coventry, in June 1962.


He was born in Providence, a son of the late Hermas and Delphine (Malo) Lefebvre.
