F. Claude Haxton was born at the home of his parents John McLachlan Haxton and Helen O'Donnell Haxton on Croft Lane, Blairgowrie, County of Perth, Scotland on the 3 Dec 1906. At the time of his birth his father John McLachlan was employed as a drayman. He was baptized in St. Stephen's RC Church by Father John Malcolm on 23rd Dec 1906. He immigrated to the United States in Oct 1913. He made a return trip to visit with family in Scotland in 1929 with his mother Helen and his sister Catherine.
