Dorothy was born June 12th, 1931 in Binghamton, NY to Oscar T. and Catherine Anna Lucille Wormuth.
She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Steven J. Petrick; her parents, Oscar T. and Catherine Anna Lucille Wormuth; and her brother, Oscar R. Wormuth.
She is survived by her loving family, Deborah (Robert) Leonard, Cindy (Roland) Smith Jr., Gary S. (Sunnam) Petrick, and Gail M. Petrick; grandchildren, Cody, Dorthy, Clay, Christine, Steven, and Gary Jr. Also survived by sisters and brother-in-law, and several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Dorothy enjoyed every day as it was, beautiful and with a gentle, caring heart. She loved to read and garden, along with caring for her beloved "Buddy". She would walk around the house and talk to the neighbors with a smile, and tell the stories of when her kids were younger and when she was young.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 13th, at the J.F. Rice Funeral Home, Inc., 150 Main St., Johnson City, NY.
Burial will be in Chenango Valley Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 until the time of the service.
