LYNN ALLENE WHITEHEAD
Lynn Allene Whitehead, age 67 of Maryville, passed away Friday evening, March 1, 2002, at Hillcrest West Nursing Center in Knoxville. She was of the Baptist Faith and preceded in death by parents, Pink and Johnnie Riddle HUGHES; brother, Ronald Hughes; and grandson, Robert Effler.
Survivors: husband, Sidney Coleman Whitehead of Maryville; daughters, Coleen Effler and special friend Jeff Hughes both of Maryville, Juliann Whitehead of Nashville and Lisa and husband Royce DeVault both of Knoxville; sons, Earl Lee ``Butch" Whitehead of Santa Monica, CA. and John and Rebecca Whitehead of Lenoir City; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; twin brother, Larry Allen and wife Joy Hughes of Ohio; sisters, Betty Sing of Ohio, Nova Lee Haun of Florida and Ann Wade of Maryville; Several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2002, at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Dr. Doug Sager officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Chilhowee Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery "Red Top" for the interment service. The family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
