Pope provided us with three sons, Clarence (clyde) Charles (Jack) and my grandfather Edwin (whitey). Pope was a Texas Ranger, a railroad conductor AND a paper hanger/house painter. He married Dasie Oden who bore him the three sons. They lived in Gilmer and Abilene before Dasie was committed to the Texas state mental hospital in Taylor Texas where she lived for the remainder of her life.
