Mr. Alton D. Adcock, age 78 of Sparta,TN passed away Wednesday morning at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Adcock was born February 9, 1930 in Dekalb County to the late Erby & Elizabeth Felts Adcock. He was retired from Thomas Industries and was a U.S. Army Veteran.

He is survived by his wife Verdie Lee Hawkins Adcock of Sparta

Son: Dwight Adcock of Sparta

Two granddaughters: Savannah Stebing of Cookeville & Amanda Adcock of Lebanon

Great-grandchild: Austin Stebing

Two Sisters: Rowena Adcock of Nashville & Ina Jo Prater of Detroit, Michigan

Funeral services will be Friday in the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in the Taylor's Providence Cemetery with Military Honors. Fred Hawkins, Doug Benningfield and David Lee England will officiate. The family will receive friends after 5:00 pm Thursday at Hunter Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Taylor's Providence Cemetery, Indian Mound Baptist Church or Hickory Valley Baptist Church
