Uncle Lee was a good-natured man with the slightest bit of mischief in his soul. ;-P

He served his country overseas, in France and possibly other areas of Europe, during WWII, in the United States Army. At the time War was declared, in 1941, Lee Oxford was already 33 years of age.

Lee married Vera Stribling in 1956 and they lived the remainder of their years together at Warren's Bluff, near Lexington, Tennessee. Lee and Vera's union was never blessed with children.

I recently learned that Uncle Lee worked in the sawmill for James Belton Robison, Sr and he also worked with Mr. Robison in town at his shop/store in his younger days. 28 March 2017

The only job I ever knew him to have was the one he retired from, road maintenance. He drove a tractor with a bush hog behind it, in Henderson County, and kept the roads mowed during the warm weather months. I am not sure what he did in the cold weather months. I suppose he worked on equipment and helped with keeping the roads clear when it snowed?

Uncle Lee had Parkinson's Disease and passed from this life on to his eternal reward because of congestive heart failure due to his Parkinson's Disease.
