Betty J. Hughes, 72, died at 8:55 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2003, at ASTA Care Center, Bloomington, Illinois.
She was born December 17, 1930, at Gridley, Illinois, a daughter of Lester and Alta Robbins Stephens. She married Theodore Hughes on March 12, 1955, at Bloomington. He died August 29, 1987.
Mrs. Hughes retired after 32 years with General Electric Co. of Bloomington. She was a member of Royal Neighbors of America. She enjoyed ceramics and was an avid softball fan.
Betty was a loving, devoted mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Her parents and three brothers also preceded her in death.
