Margaret “Midge” Bonham Hower, 79, of Bel Air, Md., formerly of Bloomsburg, passed away on Dec. 3, 2014, at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Md.

Born in Danville, she was the daughter of the late Harrison VanHorn Bonham and Dorcas Rustay Bonham. She grew up in Shickshinny, and began her career as a registered nurse in 1956 at Geisinger Medical Center, where she worked until 1969. She then worked at Bloomsburg Hospital until 1997, at which time she retired. She was an accomplished pianist and was a member of Christ Our King Presbyterian Church in Bel Air.

Ms. Hower is survived by her daughter, Joni H. Poust, and her husband, David, of Bel Air, Md.; son, James B. Hower, and his wife, Patricia, of San Angelo, Texas; brother, Larry Bonham, and his wife, June, of Jacksonville, Ark.; grandchildren: Sarah Fuchs and her husband, Chase, Julia Poust, Allison Poust, and great-grandson, Brayden Fuchs.

Visitation will be held at McComas Funeral Home, Abingdon, Md., on Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Christ Our King Presbyterian Church in Bel Air, Md., on Tuesday, Dec. 23, at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, a contribution can be made to Christ Our King Presbyterian Church, 10 Lexington Road, Bel Air, MD 21014.
