Danny Ray Frantz, age 40, of Imlay City, went to be with his Lord, on Friday, November 28, 2014, as a result of a brain stem stroke suffered earlier this year, at Genesys Hospital Medical Center in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Danny was born on June 27, 1974 in Lapeer, Michigan. He was the son of Carl Ray and Paula Jean Frantz. He grew up in the Capac and Imlay City areas. He graduated from the North Branch Wesleyan High School Class of 1992. Danny attended St. Clair County Community College. Danny Ray married Shelley Ann Treash on February 21, 1998 in Imlay City, Michigan. Danny was a CN Railroad Conductor and Engineer, stationed out of Port Huron for three years and a carpenter for 15 years at High Peak Construction in Attica. He was a member of the Family of Christ Lutheran Church in Imlay City.
He is survived by his wife, Shelley; his son: Danny Louis Frantz; his step-daughter: Jessica Treash-Gleasure of Smyrna, Tennessee; his loving parents: Carl Ray and Paula Frantz of Capac; his parents-in-law: Louis and Joyce Treash; a brother: Mike (Connie) Frantz of Capac; sisters: Kim Reno (and Greg Longoria) of Rochester Hills and Carla Frantz of Capac; brothers-in-law: Randy Treash of Brown City and Rodney Treash of Brown City; sisters-in-law: LouAnne Smith of North Branch Jaime Ritter of Brown City, and Julie (Casey) Couzens of Imlay City. Danny was preceded in death by his grandparents: Carl and Virginia Frantz and Clare and Henriette Gibbard.
Funeral service will be held at 11:30 am Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Family of Christ Lutheran Church in Imlay City. Officiating will be Deacon Dave Hoffman. Burial will follow at Imlay Township Cemetery.
