Barbara Manuel Cox, 55, died Monday at her residence. Born in Louisiana, she lived in Wilkinson County a number of years. She was the widow of Edward L. Cox Sr. She was retired enployee from Central State Hospital. She was a member of Ivey Baptist Church. Survivors; children, Verlynda Towery and Wilford E. Cox both of Ivey and Edward L. Cox Jr. of Baldwin County, mother, Blanche C. Manuel of Elizabeth, La., two brothers, Wilford Manuel, Jr. of Sulphur, La. and Howard Manuel of Elizabeth, and 10 grandchildren.
Services; 2 p.m. Wednesday in Ivey Baptist Church. Burial; the church cemetery. The Rev. Joey Smith will officiate. Visitation; The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 tonight in Williams Memorial Chapel in Gordon. The body will be placed in the church a half hour before services.
