Mr. Cox, a native of Johnson County, had lived in Baldwin County for the past 24 years. He was a retired employee of Central State Hospital.
Survivors include his wife Mrs. Grace Downs Cox of Milledgeville; three sons, Edward L. Cox, William David Cox and Paul Cox, all of Milledgeville; two daughters , Mrs. Joyce McKeldrey of Robbinsville, N.C., and Mrs. Mary Allen of Commerce; his mother, Mrs. Pauline Cox of Dublin; a brother, Dick Cox of Dublin; three sisters, Mrs. Bernice Kitchens and Miss Marie Cox, both of Dublin and Mrs. Ann Mitchell of East Point; 12 grandchildren and one great- grandchild.
