Don Rinke, 88, died Dec. 4, 2014, at his home in Kingman.

He was born Aug. 27, 1926, at Medicine Lodge, Kansas the son of Joseph Roy and Gertrude Raush Rinke. A Kingman resident most of his life, he was a mechanic at Prairie Land Partner’s John Deere.

He was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, both of Kingman; and was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and the Korean War.

On Oct, 3, 1950, he married Elvira Fischer at Sharon, Kansas. Other survivors include two sons Mike and Dan; daughter Terri Moore; brother Vernon; sister Geraldine Farrell; 4 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers Lewis, Melvin and Bob; and sisters Delores Rinke, Loreen Hansen and Gloria Rinke.

Parish rosary will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Patrick Catholic Church followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 800 p.m., Monday with the family receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Livingston Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be made with the St. Patrick Grade School and Wheatland’s Healthcare Center, both in care of the funeral home.
