ROGERSVILLE- Charlie Frank Arnold, Jr., 64, passed away on Tuesday (November 25, 2014) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. He was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County. Mr. Arnold proudly served his country as an Army Ranger with the 2nd BN-36th Infantry Division from 1971 to 1972. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie F. and Hazel Arnold, sister, Bernice Neeley, and three infant brothers. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Amogene Arnold, daughter, Amanda Arnold-Drinnon and her husband, Chad, brother, Gary Arnold, sisters, Jean Grills, Martha Simpson, and Agnes Thompson, grandchildren, Alexander and Madison Drinnon. Calling hours are from 10 to 11:30 A.M. Friday at Johnson – Arrowood Funeral Home of Church Hill. Funeral services will be conducted 11:30 A.M. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Pete Smith officiating. Graveside services with Military honors conducted by the Hawkins County Color Guard assisted by the Tennessee National Guard will follow the service at Church Hill Memory Gardens. Honorary pallbearers will be Chad Drinnon, Gary Arnold, Steve Head, Doug Head, Donnie Dryden, Jim Goad, and Alexander Drinnon.
