MYRON P. BARTON
Myron P. Barton, lifelong resident of this area for more than 80 years, died this morning at Spurrell Nursing home on Main Street, where he had been a patient about a month. Born in Shaftsbury, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Barton.
His schooling was received in Shaftsbury and Bennington. He had been employed at the old Holden & Leonard plant, at the Gibson bakery and H.M. Tuttle Co.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Lillie (Buss) Barton, who has been a patient at Spurrell Nursing Home for the past two years; two sons, Myron, of Potter Place, N.H. and Robert of Bennington; and a sister, Mrs. Molly Cobb of Brattleboro.
Visiting hours at Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home will be Friday afternoon and evening. The funeral will be held at the funeral home Saturday at 2 pm with Rev. H. Glenn Payne, First Baptist Church pastor, officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Cemetery.
