Maria was born on March 26, 1949 in Cusano Mutri, Italy to her parents Altieri and Maria Creta. Maria immigrated to the United States in the late 1950's with her mother and siblings to join her father, brother Rolando and sister Antonette who had immigrated several years earlier. She resided in Connecticut for most of her life before relocating to Florida in 2002. She was a homemaker, of the Catholic faith and enjoyed bowling and shopping.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Pat DeGioia of The Villages, FL; two sons: Joseph Blake and Stephen Blake both of Wildwood, FL; a daughter: Victoria Blake of Lady Lake, FL. She is also survived by one brother; Frank Creta of Seymour, CT. She is also survived by four sisters: Annette Melchiona of FL, Fernanda Arduini of CT, Marie Morytko of Florida, and Sylvia Creta of Wallingford, Ct.; three grandchildren: Samuel Torres, Sasha Blake and Austin Blake; a great-grandchild: Kianna Campfield and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, her oldest brother Rolando Creta, and 2 brothers who died in infancy in Italy.
