Forrest R. “Red” Bauscher, Sr., 92, or West Lawn, passed away May 24, 2012 in his residence. He was the husband of Madelyn (Wessner) Bauscher with whom he shared 64 years of marriage.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Forrest M. and Katie M. (Reisner) Bauscher.

He was an Army Veteran, having served in WWII.

He was a member of the American Legion Post #635, Pike Twp. Sportsmen’s Relief Assn., and the Disabled American Veteran Chapter #10. He loved fishing, gardening, and his dog, Cookie.

In addition to his wife Madelyn, he is survived by a son, Forrest R. “Rod” Bauscher, West Lawn; a daughter, Carol A. Lehn, Sinking Spring; four grandchildren, Kristin wife of Ken Manspeaker, Sheri partner of Greg Ramesdale, Kelly Bauscher, and Steven Bauscher; and four great grandchildren, Nicholas and Zachary Manspeaker, Sierra Anthony, and Owen Bauscher. He was preceded in death by a brother, William Bauscher and three sisters, Dorothy Humma, Stella Ringler, and Edna Conrath.

Services will be held at 2:00PM, Wednesday, at Lamm & Witman Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. William P. Orr officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 1:30-2:00P, Wednesday, at the funeral Home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Berks County, PO Box 69, Mohnton, PA 19540 or to the Humane Society of Berks County, 1801 N. 11th Street, Reading, PA 19604.
