Deceased Name: Naomi C. Field
FIELD, Naomi C. - Age 67, of Swartz Creek, went to be with our Lord Saturday, May 5, 2007 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 12PM Thursday, May 10, 2007 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Pastor Heather Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 6-8PM Tuesday; 1-4 and 6-8PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to Dimond United Methodist Church. Mrs. Field was born January 30, 1940 in Ohio, the daughter of Gordon R. and Mary A. (Clark) Collins. She married Clifford Field in Flint at Dimond United Methodist Church January 7, 1967. She was a 1958 graduate of American High School in Chicago and a 1966 graduate of Danville School of Practical Nursing in Kentucky. She was employed as an LPN at Flint Osteopathic Hospital for many years, retiring in April 1993. Mrs. Field was a member of Dimond United Methodist Church, Chairman of Ad Council for 4 years and volunteered at Carman/Ainsworth Senior Citizens Center doing blood pressure checks. She loved reading, cooking and baking, having won the Pillsbury Bake-Off at 16 years old for her "peaches-creamy coconut pie". Surviving are her husband, Clifford Field of Swartz Creek; 3 children, Sue Arrand of Swartz Creek, Clifford G. and wife Michelle Field of Caledonia, Kevin and wife Kimberly Field of Flint; 5 grandchildren, Ashley, Brittany, Tyler, Megan and Brandon; 3 sisters, Alice Holman of IN, Mable and husband Buck Poole of OH, Mildred Webb of MI; brother, Donald Collins of OH. She was preceded in death by her parents; and 4 sisters, Edith, Lenora, Ruth and Irma. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Nursing Staff at McLaren Regional Medical Center.
