Funeral of Mrs. John Blough
Sarah Keim Blough, one of 12 children of Tobias and Anna Keim, and the last daughter to survive, was born April 18, 1858, near Goshen, and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jack Wolferman, of Milford, at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, at the age of 73 years, 6 months and 11 days.
Her health had failed fast since last March, due to heart trouble and an abscess on the lung. However, she was bedfast only since Tuesday, prior to her death.
On Nov. 25, 1887, she married John Blough, also of near Goshen. To this union two daughters were born, Mrs. Jack Wolferman of Milford, and Mrs. Cloyd Hall of near Nappanee. Nearly 17 years ago she was bereft of her husband, but continued to reside at the Blough home in Milford until about two years ago when she began to make her home with her daughters. Other immediate surviving relatives are two brothers Adam Keim of South Bend and Samuel Keim of Dannabrogo, Nebr., and a number of nieces and nephews.
Since she was 15 years of age she was a consistent member of the Church of the Brethren and was a faithful attendant at services as long as her health were permit.
Funeral service took place at the Bethel church at 1 p.m., Saturday, Rev. Lee Cory being in charge of the services.
Interment took place in the Milford cemetery.
