Angelita (Angie) Farias Zumwalt, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt entered into God's heavenly kingdom on February 1, 2011. She was from San Antonio and Carrollton, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Norberto and Juanita Farias, beloved husband John Lewis Zumwalt, daughter Lydia Ruth Acosta, and brother Victor Farias.

Surviving daughters: Anita Hunt (Jim, deceased), Beatrice Garza, and Sylvia Holler (Tim), grandchildren Jimmy Hunt (Melissa), Brian Williamson, Ryan Hunt (Andrea), Adrienne Ball (Jon), and Marissa Muntz (Jimmy), seven great-grandchildren, sister Margarita Gutierrez (Enrique, deceased), sister-in-law Mary Farias (Victor, deceased), and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Angie attended Southwest Texas State University (Texas State University-San Marcos) and worked several years with the South San Antonio Independent School District. She enjoyed various activities throughout her life including cooking, music, writing poetry, and painting works of art and sharing them with her family. Her main pleasure was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family thanks the Avalon Alzheimer's Care staff, in Irving, TX, especially Sue Boyd, for their dedicated care and love during her final years, and VITAS hospice caregivers for their compassion.

A Rosary will be recited on February 12, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, San Antonio, TX. Interment will follow at Mission Burial Park North. Memorial contributions may be sent to a charity of your choice.
