Ralph James Albin, age 96, West Plains, Missouri, died at 8:45 p.m., Monday, December 1, 2014, at West Vue Nursing Center. He was born October 22, 1918, at Pottersville, MO, to Emery Lorraine and Lucy Evaline (Zumwalt) Albin.


In 1951, he was married to Leona Lee, who preceded him in death on July 24, 1978. He married Charlotte Frentrop in 1981.


Ralph enjoyed bowling until the age of ninety-two and traveling; he was an avid Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals fan. He was of the Methodist faith.


Preceded in death by his parents; wives; brother, Charles "Shorty" Albin; and three sisters, Doris McGregger; Blanche Wright; Evalena Albin.


He is survived by one daughter, Debra (Michael) Melzig, West Plains, MO; two grandchildren, Christopher Lee Smith, Tallahassee, Florida; Melissa (Chris) Dock, Fort Worth, Texas; one great-grandchild, Evelyn Marie Dock; step-children, Ron (Ginger) Frentrop; Steve (Robin) Frentrop; Wes (Doris) Frentrop; Debbie (Jim) Crumb; three brothers, Porter (Maxine) Albin, West Plains, MO; Glen (Fern) Albin, Mineral Wells, Texas; Dennis (Lois) Albin, Jacksonville, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
