WEAVER, Albert E. "Al" age 85 formerly of Dayton, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2008 in Ocala, Florida. Al was born on April 7, 1923 in Germantown, Ohio to the late Winfield and Agnes (Silvers) Weaver.

He was preceded in death of his first wife, June E. Weaver after 44 years of marriage and one son, Dale E. Weaver.

Survived by wife of 21 years, Monica E. Weaver of Ocala, Fl, son , Gary L. Weaver of Arcanum, Oh, two grandsons, Victor and Vincent Weaver and one granddaughter, Lisa Duben, great grandson, Benjamin Weaver, great stepson, Johnny Stewart , numerous nieces and nephews, stepchildren, Susan Albert (Dennis) Ocala, FL, Raymond DeLong (Frank Tharp) Ludlow Falls, OH, Barbara Erdy (John) Carlisle, OH, Diane Feller (Tracy) Dayton, OH, Chris Sewell (David) New Carlisle, OH, Yvonne Cagle (Bob) New Lebanon OH, step grandchildren, Jennifer, Paul, Brian, Nicole and David, great grandchildren, Peyton and Bennet.

Al was a Master Mason and member of Millennium Lodge # 779 F. &A.M. since 1952, Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton and Antioch Shrine Temple. After school, he took a tool making course at National Cash Register and worked in their tool making Dept. During World War II, he enlisted in the Marine Corp and served in the First Marine Division in the South Pacific and China. After the war, he was a service representative for the Ford Motor Company in their district office in Cincinnati and called on Ford dealerships in several states.

After much traveling with young sons at home and only being home on weekends, parted with the Ford Motor Company and started the Tip Top Garage and Transmission Shop in Dayton, Oh for 15 years. Attended University of Cincinnati during this time and became a teacher for the Dayton Public Schools and Northmont High School for 7 years. He also worked for Firestone Dayton Tire and Rubber until their plant closing in 1980.

He was a member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors Inc. and he repaired watches and restored antique clocks for many years. His hobby was fishing in Canada for nearly 30yrs.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home & Crematory 5555 Philadelphia Dr. at N. Main St. Masonic Memorial services will be held 7:45 p.m. Friday night. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice in Als memory.
