Obituary for Betty Jane Fosdick
Betty Jane Fosdick, 75, died Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Southwest Medical
Center in Liberal, KS.

She was born December 22, 1938 at Liberal, KS the daughter of Thomas R. and Lois
A. (Loftland) Winkler.

She married Charles Dean Fosdick on October 27, 1958 in Liberal, KS. He preceded
her in death August, 11, 2008.

Betty Jane was a graduate of Liberal High School, class of 1957. Shortly after
their marriage she and Charlie left the Liberal area to live in Key West,
Florida and then to the Bahamas while Charlie was enlisted in the Navy returning
back to Liberal after his discharge in 1964. Betty Jane worked many places
including Peoples National Bank, EFD Freight and Delivery, Winter's Freight Co.,
Gibsons, K-Mart, Dillons, and was also a personal service attendant for her
granddaughter Ruby Danielle Fosdick. Betty Jane enjoyed reading, spider
solitaire, shopping, listening to music from her extensive collection but most
of all she loved her family. She was a member of TOPS, Red Hats, Weekly Cousins
Get Togethers, enjoyed the activities at the Liberal Senior Center and an active
member of the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church .

Her survivors include three sons - Charles D.Fosdick and wife Mary of Rice, TX,
Daniel Fosdick and wife Heather of Liberal, KS, Christopher Fosdick of Liberal,
KS; daughter - Katy Fosdick and husband Mark Thamann of Andover, KS; Nine
grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; brother - Virgil Leon Winkler of Dodge
City, KS, sisters - Celia Faye Howard of Kismet, KS and Shirley Hager of Boise
City, Idaho.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son - Tommy Ray Fosdick and
one brother- Edward Thomas Winkler.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 3, 2014 from 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Miller
Mortuary.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Grace
Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. Andrew Wehling officiating. Burial will
follow at the Liberal City Cemetery.
