April 13, 1811, Asa bought lot #23 in 4th quarter of Twp., 7, Range 2, in Tuscarawas Co., consisting of 100 acres, from Jonas Stanbery and Ann Lucy his wife of New York City for $200. Sep 19, 1828, Asa Walton of Warwick Twp. and Catherine, his wife, mortgaged this property to David Peter of Gnadenhutten for $400 at 6% per year. The mortgage was released Jun 6, 1846. Jun 4, 1834, Asa B. Walton and Esther, his wife mortgaged the north half of this lot for $174.78 at 6% a year to Jeremiah Walton. The release for this morgage was not recorded. Asa B. was a party to the 1833 release by heirs of his father, Boaz. Asa and Catherine had six children all born Tuscarawas Co., OH: Mary, Joel, Jeremiah, Sarah, Elizabeth and Stephen..
