Florence E. Hutchens, 99, of Indianapolis, died Tuesday, July 11, 2006, at Spring Mill Meadows Nursing Home in Indianapolis.

Born July 10, 1907, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of William and Della Fookes. She married H. Vaughn Hutchens, and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include three sons, William Hutchens and Steve Hutchens, both of Indianapolis, and Gary Hutchens of Greenfield; one sister, Bonnie Mangino of Phoenix, Ariz.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Hutchens was a former Shelbyville resident.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. in Forest Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Robert Campbell officiating.

Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Chapels, 819 S. Harrison St., is handling the arrangements.
