Mae Elenore Carper was a retired government worker and a member of many patriotic organizations. She was libarian for the Society of Mayflower Descendants in Washington, DC. She was also registrar of the Potomac Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution; and a member of the Society of New England Women and the Washington Centenial chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
