J. Orville Goin, 82, died at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday at his home in RFD 1, McLeansboro.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the Delafield Baptist church, of which he was a member. The Rev R. L. Schlagg and the Rev. Champ Heifner will officiate. Burial will be in the Blooming Grove cemetery.
The body will lie in state at the Donelson Funeral Home in McLeansboro where friends may call after noon Friday.
He was born March 15, 1882, in Hamilton County, the son of James and Sarah Jane (Carr) Goin.
On March 4, 1911, at Springfield, Ill., he was married to Anna Thomason, who survives. He is also survived by two sons, James O. Goin of Evansville, Ind., and Harold E. Goin of Collinsville; a sister, Mrs. Nona Rawls of Delafield; and four grandchildren.
