Arvesta Chandler, daughter of Calvin Chandler & Elvira Knowles was born in Maine. She moved west with her parents, first into Wisconsin, then into Minnesota, where she married Adonirom B. Fawcett in Newburg, Minnesota around 1862. They had one daughter, Edith E. Fawcett Scott, born in Fillmore County, Minnesota in 1864. Adonirom passed away on the 3rd of January, 1864.

On the 19th of October, 1867, in Hesper, Winneshiek, Iowa, Arvesta married Tiddeman Aldrich. Arvesta and Tiddeman settled there, having three children, all born in Winneshiek. Timy was born in about 1870 and passed away around 1875. Marietta Lyda "May" Aldrich Perry was born in 1874. Rowland Thomas was born on the 25th of October, 1879.
