Shirlee Eilene Mackay 1949 ~ 2006 Shirlee Eilene Hutchins Mackay, 56, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully September 19, 2006 surrounded by her loving family, after a five year battle with lung cancer. Shirlee was born September 27, 1949 in Rupert, Idaho to Earl James and Bernice Snow Hutchins, the youngest of ten children. She graduated from Minico High School in 1967, and later graduated from Continental Beauty College. She married Jay Mackay June 4, 1971 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together they had three sons and one daughter. Her pride and joy are her seven grandchildren who love her dearly. Her giving heart touched everyone she met. She worked 30 years at Fred Meyer and was always friendly to the customers. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends, sewing and spoiling her grandkids. She was active in her church, most recently in the Relief Society Presidency and the Young Women's President. She is survived by her loving husband, Jay; four children, Jeff (Biji) Mackay, Steven (Kimberly) Mackay, Jill (Steven) Miller and Scott Mackay; seven grandchildren, Maya, Emma, Eden, Lauren, Miles, Cade and Jackson; brothers, Jim, Kenneth and John; sisters, Betty, Ruth Ann and Carolyn. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Don, Derald, Raymond and sister, Melba. Our family wishes to express a special thanks to Dr. Michael Collins, Dr. Patricia Legant and their staffs. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 23, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Valley Park Stake Center, 2603 West 4700 South. The family will receive friends at a viewing Friday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the Stake Center.
