Orangeburg - Barbara Ann Fanning Bolen, 72, of Orangeburg passed away on Nov. 28, 2014, after an extended illness. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014, at Springfield Cemetery in Springfield. The Rev. Dr. W. Joel Campbell will officiate. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Barbara was born in Springfield on Oct. 9, 1942. She graduated from Springfield High School. Barbara was married to the late David N. Bolen of Orangeburg on Jan. 6, 1962. They were married 51½ years. Barbara retired from a successful career in the textile industry. She was an avid collector of Raggedy Ann and Andy and an NFL enthusiast. Go Dolphins! She enjoyed Caribbean cruises, sitting on the lido deck, and meeting new people. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Lynne Fallaw (Mark) of Gaston; her granddaughters, Taylor Cain of Athens, Georgia, Riley Cain of Atlanta, Erin Fallaw of Prosperity, and Chapin Fallaw of Gaston; her sister, Mary Olive (Wallace) Pender of Springfield; and a number of nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Horace T. Fanning and two brothers, W. Thomas Fanning of Savannah, Georgia, and Richard C. Fanning of Shreveport, Louisiana. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the charity of one's choice. The family of Barbara Bolen expresses sincere gratitude to the staff of Grove Park Hospice and Pharmacy of Orangeburg, SC.
