James Robert Bingham, 71, of 721 E. Vine died at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday in St. Rita's Hospital. He was a retired stationary engineer at Gro-Cord Rubber Co.

Born Dec. 23, 1893, in Lima, he was a son of Green and Lucinda Bingham.

Surviving are his wife, Virginia; a son, James R. of Gardenia, Calif.; a stepson, William Brandies of Pleasant Ridge, Ky.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Violet Pore of Muncie, Ind.; four grandchildren, and three step-grandchildren.

He was a member of Elks Lodge and Bible Missionary Church.

Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the church. Rev. Paul King will officiate and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call at Siferd Main Street Chapel after 7 tonight.
