Hazel Jean Hart, 86, of Lexington, passed away, Friday, November 28, 2014. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, November 30, 2014, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Lexington. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Monday, December 1, 2014, at First Christian Church in Lexington with Rev. David Fischer officiating and burial to follow in the Hart Family Cemetery.

Hazel was born in Tanglewood, Texas, to the late Judge Emmitt and Clarence Eola (Gay) Curlee. She married Jesse L. Hart in May of 1952, in Burnet. She was a long time member of First Christian Church and served as music director.

She was preceded in death by her husband; and eight brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her son, Thomas A. Hart and wife, Cindy, of Lexington; daughters, Claire L. Hart-Palumbo, of Houston, and Debi C. Smith and husband, Cody, of Lexington; grandchildren, Kaden Jeter, Peyton Ferguson, Christopher Ferguson, and Coleman Hart; and many other relatives and friends.
