Mr. Floyd was a business owner and long-time resident of Seymour. He currently owned Floyd's Equipment and Rental in Seymour. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Mary Lee Floyd; brothers, Coy, B.J., and Bill Floyd; sister, Emily Ford; and son-in-law, Jim Carr.
Survivors include wife of 58 years, Ann Floyd; sons and daughter-in-law, Donald J. Floyd and wife Sharma, and Daniel Floyd; daughter, Jean Carr; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Terry, Roger, and Dewey Floyd; and sisters, Vivarene Carter and Jean Marcum.
Funeral service will be 7 p.m. Monday in Atchley's Seymour Chapel with Rev. Dave Burnette officiating, with interment 11 a.m. Tuesday at Highland South Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Monday at Atchley Funeral Home, Seymour, 122 Peacock Ct., Seymour, 577-2807.
