John Willard Billings, 79 formerly of Wyaconda, died Sunday, May 11, 1958, at his home in Twin Falls. Idaho following a long illness. His wife was at his bedside when death came.

Mr. Billings was born March 18, 1879 in Clark County, Missouri and married Alpha Jane Carder September 5, 1901 at Kahoka, Missouri.

The family moved to Idaho in 1927 and again in 1936 to make their home. First farming near Buhl, Idaho. He farmed with his son, Willard, in various parts of Magic Valley until retiring in 1942. Mr. Billings was a member of the First Baptist Church at Twin Falls and of the Modern Woodmen of America.

Survivors are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Letia Stevenson and Mrs. Kathleen Caster of Davis, California; three sons, Willard Billings, Twin Falls, Idaho, Garlin Billings, Murray, Utah, and Harold Billings, Woodland, California; four sisters, Mrs. Florence Dochterman, Mrs. Alta Bertram, Wyaconda, Mrs. Lou Sisson, Kansas City, Missouri, and Mrs. Ethel Herring, Arbela, Missouri; nine grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were three brothers, Edgar, Charles, and Clarence Billings, one sister, Ella Gardner, one grandson and one great grandson.

Funeral services with all children and families present were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, at the First Baptist Church in Twin Falls with the Rev. Gilbert Myers officiating. Concluding services were held at Sunset Memorial Park, Twin Falls, Idaho.
