Born Saint Clair County, Missouri

Died Carrizozo, New Mexico

She was the sister of my grandfather, William Garrett Van Allen, and the daughter of James Wayne Van Allen and Mary Elizabeth Chinn Van Allen.

She moved with her family when she was a young girl to Checotah, McIntosh County, Oklahoma. Many of her family members settled in Eufaula, Oklahoma in later years.

Information that I have gathered from family members is that she was married to Ben Acker and had at least two children, a son, Leroy, and a daughter, who died in infancy.
