From El Paso Herald-Post, dated Tuesday, June 30, 1953:
News was received today of the death of Henry Straley, widely-known member of a Lincoln County ranching family. Mr. Straley's home was in Ancho, N. M. He was 66. He died after a heart attack near Capitan, N. M., while returning home from a trip to Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Kate Straley; four brothers, John, George and Spurgeon, all of Ancho, and Tom of El Paso; three sisters, Mrs. A. E. Kile and Mrs. Reba Bingham, both of El Paso, and Mrs. Jackie Silvers of Ancho; and several nieces and nephews in El Paso.

He had devoted the last few years of his life to his hobby of collecting Indian relics.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. in Ancho.
