DATE OF DEATH MARCH 14, 2008:

Dorothy M. Maxwell, 73, of Fulton, passed away Friday, March 14, 2008, at Fulton Nursing and Rehab. She was born November 7, 1934 in Cedar Creek, Missouri, the daughter of the late Alfred L. and Ethel (Thompson) Gilmore.

On December 9, 1955 she was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" Maxwell and he preceded her in death on June 9, 2004.

Mrs. Maxwell is survived by, one son, Robert "Bob" Maxwell Jr. of Fulton, one daughter, Dorothy Rosanna Brown of Pocahontas, Arkansas, a sister, Margret Jordon of Jefferson City, two grandchildren, Dianna Leigh Johnson and Amanda Jane Brown, both of Pocahontas, a great-granddaughter, Lyndsey Rhae Johnson of Pocahontas and another great-grandchild, other relatives and many dear friends.

Dorothy worked at Fulton State Hospital, the shoe factory and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church and enjoyed crocheting, cooking, playing Bingo and gardening.

Funeral services will be at 10:00am on Monday, March 17, 2008 at the Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery beside her husband.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Dorothy Maxwell Memorial fund.
