Gertrude Warren Alderson, age 82, of Lewisville, Arkansas died Wednesday, May 18, 2005 at the Homestead Manor nursing Home in Stamps, Arkansas. She was born November 10, 1922 in Lafayette County, Arkansas. Mrs. Alderson was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church at Lewisville. She is survived by: her husband, Curtis Alderson of Lewisville; one son, Warren Curtis Alderson, Jr. of San Diego, CA; three daughters, Elsie Louise Halbert of Mountain View, AR, Ethel Pauline Darleck of Port Lavaca, TX, and Hilda Rebecca Curry of Benton, LA; four sisters, Virginia Ward of Ogden, AR, Francis Beeman of Monroe, LA, Nan Clift of Texarkana, TX, and Betty Cook of Mayflower, AR; nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 21, 2005 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Stamps with Rev. Lane Garner officiating and burial in Wilson Cemetery in Lewisville under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
