George Richard Ahlers
PATASKALA: George Richard Ahlers, 82, of Pataskala, OH passed away peacefully November 9th, 2014 at Mt Carmel East Hospital Columbus OH, after a heart attack, surrounded by his family.
He was born July 9th 1932 in Brooklyn, NY. He is preceded in death by his parents and son, Richard. He was a proud Army veteran during the Korean conflict.
George retired from the construction business. He was a custom home builder on Eastern Long Island for many years.
He enjoyed cooking, spending time with his family and his dog, Foxie.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara (Pritt); his two brothers, Robert (Yvonne) Ahlers and David (Janice) Ahlers; his children, Geri (Dale) Terry, Susan Simmons, James Ahlers and Patty (Charles) Hardilic; step-children, Traci (Phil) Cochran, Tiffani DeSanto, Michele (Jason) VIlla; numerous grandchildren; and two nephews.
There will be a private family celebration of life.
