Douglas Michael Soles lost his life on Monday, November 24, 2014 on Old State Road in Ridgeville, when the car he was driving and a Chrysler mini-van collided head on. Doug died at the scene and was the only fatality.
Doug was born in Orangeburg and was currently living in Eutawville. He was the son of Cathy Jones Soles and Michael Gene Soles. He was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother, Cathy Jones Soles of Orangeburg, two sons, Ashton and Tucker Soles, Kristen Vegod his girlfriend, Clinton H. Soles, his brother, sister Celeste S. and Stacey Zeigler, a nephew Preston Ziegler, his grandmothers, Betty Soles and Shirley Howard, and many good friends, especially Jeffrey Smith.
Doug was employed by the CCC Group. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
The funeral service will be at St. Paul's, the Rev. Gary Peterson, officiating at 1:00 pm Friday, November 28th. Memorial Park Cemetery will be Doug's final resting place.
Darren Smith, Jeffrey Smith, Jody Stillinger, Robbie Shaw, Barret Zeigler, Danny Merchant, Armon Furr and Travis Fulmer will serve as pallbearers for Doug.
