Bill F. Nabors, 71, of Tecumseh died Tuesday, Feb. 24, in Tecumseh.

He was born April 22, 1932, in Tecumseh to Amon W. and Mary (Reissaus) Nabors.

He was reared in Pixley, Calif., where he graduated from Dellano High School.

He married Jewell I. Flick on June 1, 1956, in Las Vegas and the couple moved to Gardena, Calif. They moved back to Tecumseh in 1976.

While in California, he owned and operated Al-Roy Drilling for 14 years. After returning to Oklahoma, he worked as a welder for OG&E until retiring.

He and his wife owned a ranch west of Tecumseh.

Nabors served as a paratrooper with the 11th Airborne Division of the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.

He was a 32nd-degree Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite and the Tecumseh Masonic Lodge No. 69.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Melvina (Reissaus) Fossett; his father, Sam Fossett; one brother, Jackie Fossett; one sister, Lue Sullivan; and Amon W. Nabors.

He is survived by his wife, Jewell Nabors, of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Terry and Wayne Gober of Shawnee and Gwen and Bill Johnson of Seminole; one son and daughter-in-law, Bill II and Debby Nabors of Tecumseh; one sister, Helen Bourland of Rialto, Calif.; one brother, John Dixon of Pixley, Calif.; four grandsons, Allan Johnson, Daniel Gober, Mark Gober and Justin Gober; one granddaughter, Callista Nabors; and many other relatives.

Service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Shawnee Faith Assembly with the Rev. Kurt Beauford and the Rev. LeRoy Kerbo officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery.
