W.W. Sharp
Rotan - W.W. Sharp, 94, a retired Rotan farmer, died about 10:45 a.m. Wednesday in the Callan Hospital after a short illness.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday from the Weathersbee Chapel with Rev. R.H. Meizner, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Roby, officiating.
Burial will be in the Roby Cemetery with Masons as pallearers and Masonic rites at graveside, Weathersbee Funeral Home will direct services.
Born Dec. 18, 1874, in TN, he came to Texas with his parents at the age of eight He married Minnie Gayle in Erath County, Nov. 6, 1896, and they came to Fisher County in 1927 from Dublin. She died in 1951. He was a member of the Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include five sons; Tom of Roby, John, Babe, and Barley, all of Rotan, Dick of Peacock; five daughters; Mrs. Gladys Brock of Fort Worth, Mrs. Percy Goodwin of Corpus Christi, Mrs. Eula Fair of Arvin CA. Mrs. Margie Upshaw of Roby, and Mrs. Leotie O'Braint of Rotan.
