Leola M. Bates Abercrombie, 93, of Roswell, Georgia, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on November 22, 2014.
Born in Ellijay, Georgia on February 9, 1921, she is survived by her devoted husband of 69 years, George Abercrombie; three daughters, Gwen (Clay) Whitelaw, Sarah (Johnny) Stanford, and Angie (David) Geiger; eight grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brother, Hollis (Laverne) Bates of Alpharetta.
She was a charter member of Northside Baptist Church in Roswell, Georgia. She enjoyed bowling, golf, bridge, painting, ceramics and sewing, but her true loves were her family and her Lord.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Northside Baptist Church. Interment to follow at Green Lawn Cemetery.
